Android version of Jeltee mobile app launched in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by Armenian developers a few months ago was released.
The iOS version of the app developed by Ashot Mnatsakanyan and Rafael Harutyunyan was launched in February 2015 and already has about 18 thousand users. The app has 400-500 registered users from Yerevan.
The app is aimed at take away people from screens and move them to the real, offline platform.
Talking to Itel.am, co-founder of the app Ashot Mnatsakanyan notes that they are going to increase the number of users in the UAE up to 60 thousand by late summer.
According to him, the next target country of the app is Russia followed by CIS countries. On these markets, Jeltee will undergo some transformations: VKontakte social network access will be added.
“We’re planning to have up to 2mln users on the market. The content will be the same as the research showed that 24-hour chat is enough to make a decision on the meeting even in case of conservative Armenian mentality”, Ashot Mnatsakanyan notes.
As for investors, they had some investments a few months ago. The founders of Jeltee are currently negotiating with a number of oversees investors to attract relatively large investments.
