VivaCell-MTS supports the National Center for Oncology in getting new devices

VivaCell-MTS continues cooperating with the National Center for Oncology after V. Fanarjyan. This year the center has acquired a “Plessart VIVO” (“Toshiba”, Japan) universal remote control digital fluoroscopy and analog radiography comprehensive device.

The company has provided AMD 60 million for the acquisition of the equipment.

“The Armenians often have to go abroad in order to undergo oncological examinations and receive medical treatment. This has a negative effect on the patient both from financial and psychological perspectives. The reason for their decision is the lack of necessary equipment in the Armenian medical centers: even highly qualified doctors need state-of-the-art devices to carry out comprehensive examination of the patient. I hope that the support VivaCell-MTS provides will add to the efficiency of the doctors’ efforts and will relieve the worries of patients,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian commented.

Annually, the National Center for Oncology provides treatment to over 10 000 patients suffering various oncological diseases. Having a status of a national center, the hospital provides medical assistance to the whole country. 80 to 100 X-ray examinations (of lungs, osteo-muscular, gastrointestinal systems and other) are carried out at the center every day. The device used at the center till recently has been in exploitation since the Soviet times. The introduction of the newly obtained equipment will considerably increase the accuracy of examinations and improve the results of the treatment.

VivaCell-MTS has been readily stretching hand to the National Center for Oncology since 2010; as a result of the cooperation the center has been refurbished with state-of-the-art devices. For this end, the company has already made a total investment of more than AMD 178 million.
