Starting from December 6-th Orange mobile voice and internet services will be available in Ditsmayri village of Syunik region. This small village of 160 inhabitants was not covered by the network of any mobile operator before. With Orange, Ditsmayri will have access not only to quality mobile voice services, but also to high-speed mobile internet. From next week on, the 170 inhabitants of the Bnunis village, founded in the early Middle Age period, will also have the same possibilities, as a new Orange station will operate here as well – and again the first one for the village.
Starting from next week the Orange mobile shop will also visit these two villages, which will allow the inhabitants of the village to get voice and internet subscriptions, as well as necessary devices: handsets, modems, notebooks, accessories etc.
Francis Gelibter, Orange Armenia CEO, noted: «These sites will ensure fast connection not only inside the villages but as well with the rest of the world. Orange is the operator which delivers the best quality in towns but as well the one which creates new experiences for people living in such villages. After Gomaran, Geghanush, Kachachkut and Antaramut, Bnunis and Ditsmayri are the 5th and the 6th villages in Armenia where Orange will deliver mobile connectivity as the first operator and I am pleased that we will be doing it earlier than planned, as we had promised to cover these villages before the end of January 2014».
As a reminder, after only 4 years of launching its operations, Orange services are now available to more than 97% of the Armenian population. In Yerevan, Gumri, Vanadzor, Etchmiadzine and Ararat Orange offers up to 42Mbps capacity network, and up to 21Mbps in the rest of the country.
Orange policy is to continue improving speed and capacity of network in towns where needed and expanding its operations in villages taking care of quality.
