A modern Wi-Fi educational hotspot and a computer lab were opened in the Armenian-Russian Slavonic University.
With 10 computers and a 3G Home-Zone router, VivaCell-MTS has refurbished the educational institution’s computer lab. In addition to the above-mentioned, 1 interactive smart board and a laser printer is provided to the University. The total amount of the provided equipment is about AMD 5 mln.
The project on the creation of Wi-Fi hotspots and corners, as well as computer labs in higher educational institutions is aimed at helping those institutions genuinely create “boundless” communications for their students and faculty. Wi-Fi is considered to be the most efficient way to create fast and mobile internet environment in an educational institution.
“We want to see Armenian higher educational institutions able to catch up with the rest of the world, where, nowadays, Wi-Fi is being used as the primary means of internet connectivity. Availability of Wi-Fi connection is a necessary precondition for the combination of education resources with technology. Therefore, VivaCell-MTS is committed to help educational institutions with wide application of Wi-Fi technology in the process of education,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian commented.
