VivaCell-MTS revenues increased by 3.9%

VivaCell-MTS increased second-quarter revenues 3.9 percent from a year earlier to AMD 19.82 billion, while OIBDA rose 4.4 percent to AMD 10.37 billion, Telecompaper.com reports quoting the data of “MTS” OJSC.

VivaCell-MTS’ ARPU improved 13 percent compared to Q1 to AMD 2,750, helped by seasonal effects such as increased roaming. MOU rose 11 percent over the same period to 365 on offers to stimulate on-net usage and increase customer loyalty.

The customer base fell by around 23,000 compared to March to 2.356 million, but was up by 42,000 from a year earlier.

Churn was up slightly versus Q1 to 8.6 percent, while subscriber acquisition costs declined.
