Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange continues implementing charity projects directed to community development. A modern computer center furnished with broadband Internet was opened in Katnaghbyur village of Aragatsotn region with joint efforts of Orange, “Shen” charity organization and USAID/CHF.
For implementation of this project Orange has allocatted total AMD 2,348,000.
Bruno Duthoit, Orange Armenia CEO said: “Modern technologies develop with an uncredible speed, and their usage in the everyday life allows not only to make easy people’s life, make distances shorter, but also stimulate social, cultural, scientific development, make people be always informed. We are a telecommunication company, and the objective and the mission of our job is to bring the modern communication means to everyone. That’s with this idea that Orange has built the largest 3G+ network of Armenia, and this computer room will allow to have access to computer and to internet to all those who cannot afford it at home.”
As other projects, this project is as well has been implemented by joint efforts with the community, which will ensure its sustainability and long-term success. During 2010 six computer rooms have been created in different regions of Armenia, which all together monthly receive more than 2000 visits.
