“VivaCell-MTS” to allocate AMD 22 million to Armenian President’s IT Award

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “VivaCell-MTS” will allocate AMD 22 million to All-Armenian “Hayastan” Fund for the annual president’s “International Global IT” Award in 2011.

After the signing of trilateral memorandum between “VivaCell-MTS”, “Hayastan” Fund and Synopsis Armenia, “VivaCell-MTS” General Manager Ralph Yirikian said that such programs facilitate the development of IT sphere in Armenia, Mediamax reports.

Director of Synopsis Armenia Hovik Musayellyan said that the winner of 2011 presidential award will be named in 1,5 or 2 months. 5 people, whose candidacies have been put forward by international and local IT organizations, are nominated for the award.

Hovik Musayelyan also said that the basic criteria for choosing the winner is the outstanding contribution to the development of IT sphere.

The first winner of president’s “International Global IT” Award in 2010 was former Chairman of the Board of Intel Corporation Creig Barret.
