Prime Minister: Armenia became the first country in CIS, where 4G network has been launched

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stated today that mobile connection of third generation (3G) is available on the entire territory of the country.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at the session of the government, Tigran Sargsian reminded that recently Armenia became the first country in CIS, where 4G network has been launched.

There are only 10 countries in the world with launched 4G networks, and one of them is Armenia, the Prime Minister noted.

Speaking of achievements in the telecommunication sphere, the Prime Minister stated that the retail price of high speed internet in Armenia reduced on average from 15 thousand to 8 thousand AMD per month. Tigran Sargsian also stated that the price for wholesale internet reduced twofold as well.
