“ArmenTel” presented paintings to the Armenian Genocide Museum

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “ArmenTel” CJSC (Beeline trademark) handed 5 paintings of Armenian artists, previously presented in the National Picture Gallery at the exhibition, devoted to the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, to the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of “ArmenTel” that from among numerous works, the special committee of experts, headed by the Director of the Museum Institute Hayk Demoyan, chose the paintings of Hovhannes Avetisyan, Grisha Torosyan, Hrant Mirzoyan, Harutyun Hakobyan and Tigran Barkhanjyan to be handed over to the Museum Fund.

“In the Museum, hundreds of thousands of people, arriving in Armenia from various corners of the world, will see these paintings and we are sure that the tragedy the Armenian people lived through, this people’s feelings, determination to live, create and look into the future with confidence and pride, will become more obvious for the visitors”, General Director of “ArmenTel” Igor Klimko stated.

In his turn, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Hayk Demoyan noted: “I want to thank “ArmenTel” company and the World Union of Armenian Artists for this contribution. I am sure that these paintings will occupy their deserved place among the exhibits of our Museum”.

During the event, Igor Klimko was conferred the title of Honorary Member of the “World Union of Armenian Artists” and was presented “Momik” Order for support for the activity of Armenian artists, as well as for contribution to development and popularization of Armenian visual arts.

Previously, given support of “ArmenTel”, there was a catalogue of works by classics of Armenian painting and modern artists on the Armenian Genocide published. The catalogue also includes rare photos and evidences of eyewitnesses of the tragedy in 1915.
