Yerevan /Mediamax/. Public Service Regulatory Committee (PSRC) approved the schedule of interconnect tariffs for among mobile networks of “ArmenTel”, “VivaCell-MTS” and Orange Armenia and alternative landline connection operators today.
As the Head of PSRC Telecommunication Department Gevorg Gevorgyan informed at the session today, according to the given decision, operators gained the opportunity to sign interconnect agreements without obstacles.
According to the tariff plan, established by PSRC, starting from January 2010, all operators are obliged to reduce prices for interconnect stage-by-stage from 10 to 60%, and since July 1, 2011, all connection operators should implement a single tariff for interconnect, which will make 11.4 AMD.
In the same period, they plan to make the tariff for termination of calls from mobile to landline network reduce from 9.72 to 9 AMD.
Head of “ArmenTel” Company (Beeline trademark) legal department David Sandukhchyan expressed content by the Committee’s decision, noting that it was the logical continuation of the application on approving the model agreement on interconnect.
General Director of Orange Armenia Bruno Duthoit also welcomed the decision of the Committee.
