ArmenTel to broaden 3G coverage zone by the end of the year

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) General Director Igor Klimko stated today that the company would double the capacities of its 3G network by the end of the year.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today, Igor Klimko stated that by the end of the year 3G network of “ArmenTel” will be available in Gyumri, Ashtarak, Jermuk and Vanadzor towns.

Answering the question on the possibility of laying of a new fiber-optic cable, Igor Klimko stated that the existing mains are capable of meeting the demand in internet, however, if the demand increases abruptly in 2010, “ArmenTel” will take up the corresponding steps.
