Yerevan /Mediamax/. To restore proper peering (technical interaction of internet operators in the sphere of traffic exchange between their networks) between the networks of “ArmenTel” and “Arminco”, the latter should simply configure its equipment.
General Director of “ArmenTel” (Beeline trademark) Igor Klimko said this in Yerevan today, commenting on Mediamax’s request on the statements by “Arminco” representatives, according to which “ArmenTel” blocks access of its internet subscribers to governmental websites.
According to Igor Klimko, difficulties occur among users of “ArmenTel” internet services while accessing websites, the hosting of which is on the servers of “Arminco” company. “Back in 2008, “Arminco” decreased peering access down to 32 Kilobytes per second and increased it only after our address to the Public Service Regulatory Commission”, “ArmenTel” General Director stated.
Igor Klimko recommended governmental structures of Armenia, the hosting of the majority websites of which is on “Arminco” servers, placing their websites on their own independent servers.
