VivaCell-MTS revenues from non-voice services increased by 35.2%

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Operating income of VivaCell-MTS mobile connection operator in the first quarter of 2009 made $7.4mln, having cut down by $2.4mln, as compared to the previous quarter.

Mediamax reports referring the operating indices of MTS, the revenues of VivaCell-MTS in the first quarter of 2009 made 17bln 847.3mln AMD, having increased as compared to the analogous period of 2008 by 5%. At that, the gains of the operator as compared to the 4th quarter of 2008 cut down by 10.4%.

The revenues of VivaCell-MTS from non-voice services increased in the first quarter by 35.2%.

The average monthly revenue of VivaCell-MTS per user (ARPU) made in the first quarter 2 913,9 AMD, having cut down as compared to the same period of 2008 by 27.75%, and as compared to the fourth quarter, 2008, by 16.4%.

As of the end of the first quarter, VivaCell-MTS’s share of the market increased from 79% to 81%.
