Geneva-based Polixis, a company that provides machine learning technologies to banks and has an office in Armenia, has been included in the 2020’s Top 20 Swiss Fintech Startups list.
The list was put together by The Fintech News Network. Most startups in the list are newly founded or unnoticed in the global market yet. The full list is available here.
Polixis CEO Gagik Sargsyan founded the company in Geneva in 2012. Around two years ago, he established a Polixis subsidiary in Armenia.
“In the first years of operation in Switzerland, we provided risk management consulting to Swiss and European banks operating in commerce.
In 2016, we came up with an idea of using big data and AI solutions used for processing it, thus automating some functions of employees. The idea development and we hardly noticed how a small consulting team turned into a medium-size web-development company,” Gagik Sargsyan told Itel.am in an interview about a year ago.
Most of Polixis’ clients are international banks, which have huge client bases.
