The national stage of the World Robot Olympiad in Armenia was held on June 23, Yerevan. Ayb Education Foundation has been the official representative and organizer of the event in Armenia since 2016.
The sponsor of the national stage and participation of the winning teams in the international stage has been Rostelecom Armenia for the second year.
Minders team showed the best result in the national stage of the World Robot Olympiad in Armenia. Ayb Education Foundation will hold negotiations with the international organizer and discuss the conditions of the participation of Minders team in the international stage in November, Hungary.
11 teams participated in the national stage of the 16th World Robot Olympiad this year. They gathered around the idea of building smart cities and competed for the victory with the help of their robots. The prize of the winner is participation in the international stage of World Robot Olympiad in November this year, Hungary.
“We have been supporting World Robot Olympiad in Armenia and participation of the winning teams in the international stage for the second year now. The Armenian team registered a quite successful result among 23,000 international teams in Thailand last year. It was a serious experience for the kids. Formation of important skills from early age has been more and more prioritized recently, and we are happy to have our contribution in these efforts. The participation in the international stage will give the teams the opportunity to represent Armenia, the creative minds of the Armenian young people, bring new ideas and technological solutions to Armenia.” Rostelecom Armenia General Director Hayk Faramazyan said.
