“Museum of Russian Art and its Architectural Environment” exhibition was offically opened on September 23. This initiative ahead of Erebuni-Yerevan events and within the frames of European Heritage Days is dedicated to the history of Cascase park.
Museum of Russian Art will be open for visitors until October 1.
The exhibition will feature the architectural atmosphere around Museum of Russian Art, exclusive photos of 1960-1990s illustrating the history of Cascade park, as well as schetches of buildings, which haven’t been included in a single exhibition so far.
The event is dedicated to 2800th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan. Traveling exhibitions will be presented in marzes of the country.
The organizers of the event are Museum of Russian Art (collection of Professor A.Abrahamyan), A. Tamanyan National Museum-Institute of Architecture, National Archives of Armenia and Mediamax. Rostelecom’s investment provided implementation of the project demo.
“This is a unique initiative, which gives the opportunity to exhibit archive materials, which haven’t been available for public before, but which fully displays the formation of cultural environment and its development over several decades. Rostelecom attaches importance to implementation of similar projects, creating a chance to once again talk about Armenia’s rich cultural values and introduce them to local and foreign visitors,” Commercial Director of Rostelecom Vasily Rusakov noted.
Within the frames of the program, a lecture will be delivered on September 26 (5 p.m.) dedicated to “Museum of Russian Art and its Architectural Environment”, conducted by Professor of Architecture Anush Ter-Minasyan.
