From November of 2017 up today Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) has saved 15 grey bears.
They found refuge in an enclosure (5ha area) of Yerevan Zoo, while others are at Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) for further rehabilitation.
FPWC’s general partner VivaCell-MTS continues supporting the construction of Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC).
The initiative plans to save another 30-40 grey bears in 2018-2019 before the final adoption of reforms for Armenia’s Law on Animal World, which will give the opportunity to provide logical settlement of the issue.
