Armenia’s mobile operators: Traffic has grown, but gradually

Due to recent political developments in Armenia, the communication operators’ internet traffic has grown since April 13.

Itel.am has approached Beeline, VivaCell-MTS and Ucom to find out how much the traffic has grown. We present their answers below.

Beeline

Our mobile connection and fixed internet traffic has doubled between April 13th and 22nd.

VivaCell-MTS

We have experienced a 17% growth of mobile internet traffic in the period between April 13th and 22nd.

Ucom

In general, there has been no change in Ucom data traffic between April 13th and 20th.

From April 20 and until the morning of April 22, the traffic has grown by 2.5 times. The highest point of growth was registered in the evening of April 21.

Rostelecom

The network has been completely overloaded from April 13 up today, but no connection issues have appeared so far. The channels are overloaded, the optics actively operate.
