Armenia’s Communication Minister and Beeline CEO discuss sector issues

Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan visited today ArmenTel, where he was received by Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.

The latter noted that OTT (over-the-top) apps (Skype, Viber) decreased the number of Beeline’s voice service users. The company is transforming its strategy and business model, transitioning from traditional to digital services, in order to tackle the market’s challenges.

Touching on roaming tariffs, Andrey Pyatakhin stated that Beeline reviewed the prices. He stressed that currently the company provides the most affordable roaming in Armenia in almost all directions.

Vahan Martirosyan assured that the Ministry is ready to support all operators in the sector to improve the quality of telecommunication services.
