Ucom to invest AMD 16.6bn in 2017

Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan visited Ucom.

During the visit on February 13, Ucom Director General Hayk Yesayan said that the company offers the customers new internet services along with traditional ones in the context of transformation of the telecommunications sector, in particular, providing mobile TV and the system of utilities payments Upay.

In September 2016 Ucom launched 4G+ network for the first time in Armenia. It is now accessible in 55 settlements, and this year the network’s coverage will expand.

Hayk Yesayan informed the Minister that the company intends to make investments in the value of AMD 16.6 billion in 2017.

Ucom representatives also revealed the agreement with Apple, which provides for a special serial number for new Apple products designed for Armenia.
