On October 3, Fuel mono acting performance was staged at Ayb School within the frames of HayFest, which tells about David Yang, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABBYY Company, co-founder of Ayb Educational Foundation and entrepreneur.

The performance is based on interviews with David Yang and created within the frames of Человек.doc (Person.doc) project. The scriptwriter of the performance is Yevgeny Kazachkov.

Itel.am talked about the performance with filmmaker Semyon Alexandrovsky and actor Maksim Fomin, who arrived from St. Petersburg.

Performance monologue starts with David Yang’s childhood, and then continues on how he chose physics as his profession, entered university, and then created Lingvo dictionary, which became the foundation stone of ABBYY Company.

It has been a year that we stage this performance. We started in September last year, and have had regular performances in Moscow and St. Petersburg since then. We also played in Bulgaria and Italy, and will perform in Berlin as well in November.

The play is staged in English, and now it is being translated into German, as we have performance in Berlin in November.

I think it is important that we play this performance in Yerevan, as David was born and went to school here, made tough decisions and, having gone a long way, departed for Moscow and entered university.  And now this performance is created and we are here today, at the city, where everything started many years ago.

We analyze the text of one of David Yang’s interviews within the frames of this performance.

We try to find some patterns in a man’s destiny in 70 minutes, as David went an important and interesting way, which can tell us how to live in the right way. This analytic work is extremely pleasant, as you discover something new each time.

We see a search for himself and the right path in all the stories. He constantly tries to find answers to those issues and always questions himself on them.

David Yang was not personally present at Fuel performance, though he intends to watch Moscow performance in the nearest future.
