Skycryptor is the winner of Sevan Startup Battle

Sevan Startup Battle took place on August 21, within Sevan Startup Summit seven-day tech camp. 10 early stage startups pitched in front of the jury.

Skycryptor team won USD 5000 cash prize.

“Skycryptor protects files in Dropbox and Google Drive through encryption. Startup targets overseas, especially American market. The prize money will be spent on settling intellectual property issues. The contest was once again a good opportunity to develop the skills in pitching”, said startup founder Aram Jivanyan.

Talking about Skycryptor, jury member, gg Co-Founder Khachatur Grigoryan stated that according to the jury the project has the biggest potential to become famous internationally.

“This summit is unique in Armenia and we want to make it annual. This year, most of the teams have Armenian origin: the geography will be widened in upcoming years. We aim to make “Sevan+ technology” brand famous in the world. Today, it is a feasible target”, said Khachatur Grigoryan.

Jury member, Grantus Ventures Company Representative Ashot Arzumanyan said that startups from seed stage will also have opportunity to compete for USD 2500 cash prize on August 23.

“The results are shown in longtime spectrum in this field. We will monitor this year’s contestants’ result and anticipate new teams next year”, said Ashot Arzumanyan.

Sevan Startup Summit tech camp is organized by Startup Armenia and will last unitl 24th of August.
