New Armenian Cubway game is Apple’s Editor’s Choice

ArmNomads Games Armenian company launched a new Arcade game with puzzle elements, called Cubway, which has become Apple Editor’s Choice in Best New Games category.

The company’s cofounder, game designer Arthur Karoyan informed Itel.am that at this moment, the game is declared Editor’s Choice in 94 countries, and is a featured game in 113 countries. According to him, this index might increase until next week.

The game is available on AppStore and costs USD 1.99.

According to Arthur Karoyan, Cubway contains 36 different levels. The number of levels is expected to grow along with updates.

“Cubway is a journey with an abstract story of lifecycle of rebirth. It is based on the idea of Samsara, when a soul passes through the lifecycle and starts anew. You guide the cube through the road full of dangers and difficulties, visit many interesting and mysterious places. Mechanics of the game are concentrated around different types of interaction with the obstacles. Find correct spots to overcome the obstacles, blow them, etc. We created unique levels with backgrounds changing once the player gets to a new level; for instance, they can get from a forest to an Armenian church, go to a village or sea, etc. This is an abstract journey,” Arthur Karoyan described the game.

He stressed that the game is developed in Armenia, and all rights belong to the Armenian company.

“We developed 5 games from scratch in one year, all of them becoming featured and two of them winning Editor’s Choice. We want to remain independent and create products we like, to express our emotions,” Arthur Karoyan emphasized.

The previous work of ArmNomads Games, Let’s Twist Arcade puzzle game appeared in AppStore on November 12 and later won Apple’s Editor’s Choice in 78 countries, featuring in 135 countries in one week.

Another creation of the company, Noble Run game, was launched this March and got featured by Apple in 94 countries for one week.
