Armenia to cooperate with Bulgaria in IT

The government approved the suggestion of signing an agreement between Armenian and Bulgarian governments on cooperation in information technology, e-government and communication.

The agreement aims to establish intergovernmental cooperation between Armenia and Bulgaria and relationships in order to unite the efforts of the two countries in information technology, e-government, communication and exchange of experiences and good practices.

According to Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan, the main areas of cooperation must have no restrictions, including electronic services, broadband access, electronic management and cyber security, electronic communications, postal services and e-government legislation, etc.

“Information technology, e-government and relations between the two countries in the field of communication should be regulated under the provisions of their domestic law, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the provisions of this Agreement ”,the project rationale states.
