Polygon- a new mobile game created by Tumo students

16-year-old students of Tumo Center for Creative Technologies Abel Ghazinyan and Vahe Muradyan have created Polygon minimalist game which has already 2500 downloads on Google Play.

Talking to Itel.am, Vahe Muradyan notes that the game comes in 2 versions - a classic, where one should just shoot the target, and Time rush, with an option of errors but actions are limited by time.

“A player has 2 colorful balls. A polygon divided by triangles is rotating in the center. Each triangle has its color, and one should bring in line the colors of the ball and triangle. Playing on the same mobile device is available in multiplayer version as well - with 2-4 players”, he notes.

Vahe Muradyan tells that the game was developed over 2-3 weeks.

“Our main problem was lack of time. We have arranged our schedule by ourselves and have tried not to digress from it. One of our Tumo coaches, Vardan Kemechechian, helped us a lot with his advice. He’s well aware of mobile gaming”, he said.

According to Vahe Muradyan, they are also going to develop the iOS version of the game in future.

The guys won the first Tumo gaming contest with their first Space game. The game was based on Java programming language, and features a spaceship doing various tasks in the space, for instance, carrying asteroids etc. They are currently upgrading the Space creating a new game on its basis.

“In the new game, a player himself creates his spaceship using various parts - quadrangles, triangles etc. New missions will be added in the space and the game will come in multiplayer version as well”, noted Vahe Muradyan adding that the game will be ready in fall.
