Ucom supports Recognize1915.am initiative

The launch of Recognize1915.am website of “Recognize 1915” initiative and the presentation of “99” book published within the project and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place at Yerevan Komitas Chamber Music Hall yesterday.
“Ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide all national organizations, patriotic groups, Armenian entrepreneurs and employees, patriotic citizens and Armenian people should come together for the global recognition and condemnation of the unprecedented crime against humanity as only in this case the world will recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide”, Ucom CEO Hayk Yesayan said adding that they will not content themselves with only paying tribute at the eternal fire but will make every effort to make the world lend an ear to the voice of the Armenian people.
The official website – www.recognize1915.am – of “Recognize 1915” initiative was launched today; it allows all people to change their e-mail signatures in order to remind the world of the Armenian Genocide once again.
Head of “Pan Photo” agency Vahan Stepanyan spoke about the story of the “99” book published along with Ucom and presented the brief summary of the book’s plot.
Those present were urged to not only post pictures condemning Armenian genocide social websites but also to disseminate more official and personal information.
“There are numerous people who do not use social websites, and thus, remain outside of the information field. They can have the information through the attaching signature to the private or corporate e-mail. People who have gmail, yahoo, yandex or outlook e-mails can add the banner to their e-mail signature. After getting the letter and seeing the signature the receiver can click on the link and appear on the website, read about the Armenian Genocide as well as learn about the project and join it if they want”, reads the statement of disseminated by Ucom, which also notes that several providers like mail.ru, rambler.ru and hotmail.com (outlook) do not allow adding pictures to the e-mail’s signature. In this case, the presented pictures are recommended to use on the personal pages on the social websites.
