VivaCell-MTS has over 200 4G base stations

VivaCell-MTS has the largest network in Armenia with over 1060 3G and 200 4G base stations.

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian stated it at the launch of the new 4G/LTE network in Vanadzor, Mediamax reports.

“The network provides a speed of up to 42.2Mbps and is available in 615 settlements and 48 cities in Armenia. Since 2005 over $ 500mln was invested for the launch, development and upgrade of the network”, he said.

As of today, the 4G/LTE network is available in Yerevan, Dilijan, Vanadzor, Tsakhkadzor and Gyumri and provides speeds up to 150Mbps.

According to Ralph Yirikian, the company has made AMD 20bln social and AMD 169bln capital investments since 2005.

The volume of taxes paid over the mentioned period made up AMD 157bln.
