Karen Karapetyan appointed ArmenTel’s new Financial Director

Karen Karapetyan who has headed the Financial Department of Uzbekistani Unitel (Beeline trademark) communication operator over the past 2 years is appointed the Financial Director of ArmenTel.

He replaced Karen Shahnazaryan in the post who has headed ArmenTel’s Financial Department for the past 6 years, the company reported.

In April 2007- September 2011, Karen Karapetyan worked in ArmenTel as head of Internal Audit and Risk Management Service. Then he continued his career in Unitel (Beeline brand) in Uzbekistan where he has held the position of Financial Director over the past 2 years. Led by Karen Karapetyan, a number of projects were organized in Uzbekistan – elaboration of strategic plans of the company and launch of several initiatives significant for the whole “VimpelCom” group of companies.

Karen Karapetyan earned his degree in International Economics field and also studied special economical and financial programs in Fletcher School in Tufts University and United Vienna Institute. Before working in “VimpelCom” group of companies, Karen Karapetyan held the position of internal auditor in Central Bank of Armenia.
