Armenian PM receives Intel Regional Director

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the Regional Director of Intel Corporation Christian Morales in Yerevan today.

“There are good opportunities for Intel for active business operations in Armenia, and we are ready for bilateral cooperation,” the Prime Minister said.

Christian Morales highly assessed the development rates of telecommunication technologies in Armenia, noting that Intel is interested in expanding its activity our country.

The interlocutors also spoke about the works directed to the establishment of Intel research center in Armenia. A task force has already been set up to work out common approaches, forecast the volume of necessary investments and specify the framework of two sides’ participation.

It was also noted that the center will become a research laboratory which will be based on Intel’s R&D technology.

The parties also discussed issues related to preparatory works on drafting and signing a cooperation memorandum within the framework of the 5th annual “ArmTech Congress-2012” due to be held in Silicon Valley, USA on November 14-15.
