With the support of Orange Foundation and the AECP 2,000 people benefited from medical services in Syunik region

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The joint initiative of Orange Foundation and the Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP) implemented in Syunik region in July came to its end.

In the scope of the initiative 2,000 adults have undergone eye screening in their regional medical centres, 400 out of which have undergone thorough screening in Mobile Eye Hospital (MEH) and 940 glasses have been provided. 200 eye surgeries and laser treatments have been realized in MEH.

“Completing our mission in Syunik region, with joy we assert that jointly with the Armenian Eye Care Project we could be helpful to many people and bring sight to their eyes. As a telecommunication operator our mission is to facilitate communication between people, therefore, communication impairments have always been in the centre of our attention and people with such impairments under the care of Orange Foundation. With joy we assert that our partnership will be ongoing and this initiative will be implemented in other regions as well, as it brings real changes into people’s life,” said Bruno Duthoit, Chairman of the Board of Orange Foundation.

Orange Foundation has allotted 7,300,000 AMD for implementation of this initiative in Syunik region.

It is worth adding that in partnership with Orange Foundation AECP will carry out its activities in Armavir region in September-October. Additional information on this will follow later.
