ArmenTel offers Internet via FTTB technology

Yerevan/Mediamax/. ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) announced the commercial launch of Hi-Line Optic service via Fiber to the building (FTTB) technology. It differs from fixed connection by the symmetry of the network.

Hi-Line Optic service is included into “Ultra” tariff plan. The symmetric unlimited channel with 2.5 Mbps of bandwidth capacity costs AMD 6000, the company reported.

The monthly subscriber fee for analogous channels with bandwidth capacity of 3.5; 5; 6 and 12 Mbps correspondingly makes AMD 8000, 12000, 15000 and 20000. Connection to one of the mentioned tariff plans doesn’t require a contract with a condition to use the service within a definite period of time.

Hi-Line Optic service via FTTB technology is currently available in Ani district of Gyumri.

“Internet via FTTB envisages a synchronized channel, high speed and reliable connection. Having the most developed fiber optic infrastructure in the country, Armenia’s universal operator now brings this technology to the final subscriber. Thus, qualitatively new developments begin in our company, and our clients can already have Internet via FTTB technology at home. The future of large networks belongs to FTTB technology,” ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko said.

Connection to “Ultra” unlimited tariff plan of Hi-Line Optic service is free of charge. Transition from one unlimited tariff plan to “Ultra” is also free of charge.
