VivaCell-MTS allocates AMD 100mln for development of Armenia’s IT sector in 2011

Yerevan/Mediamax/.The volume of investments made by VivaCell-MTS in IT industry of Armenia made AMD 100mln in 2011, said the company’s General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

Addressing a joint press conference with “Synopsis Armenia” General Director Hovik Musaelyan, Ralph Yirikian expressed the confidence that Armenia will become one of the world leaders of the information technologies sector.

Hovik Musaelyan presented the programs of Synopsis Armenia for development of IT industry implemented jointly with VivaCell-MTS in 2011 pointing out International Microelectronics Contest, the educational microelectronics program in the European Academy, the contest of best IT managers, ArmTech congress as well as giving the founder of the first personal computer in the world Steve Wozniak the Armenian President’s award.

In his turn, Ralph Yirikian noted that the company sponsored Digitec exhibition, ArmRobotics Robots Championship as well as Yerevan Web meetings implemented by Mediamax.
