Serzh Sargsyan receives Nobel Prize Physics Laureate Zhores Alferov

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Today, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Nobel Prize laureate in physics, Vice President of Russian Academy of Sciences, Zhores Alferov.

Welcoming the outstanding scientist, the President congratulated Zhores Alferov on his election as an honorable member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

Serzh Sargsyan highlighted the importance of strengthening of scientific and educational ties in the context of the strategic partnership between two countries.

The parties discussed the development of modern science, issues of organizing scientific work and stimulation of new technologies.
