Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 master classes to start on October 15

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “VivaCell-MTS” General Manager Ralph Yirikian said today that Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 project initiated by Mediamax “will become a big step for the development of the Armenian web-content.”

Today, Mediamax and “VivaCell-MTS” mobile operator presented Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 project aimed at the presentation of the best foreign experience in creation and promotion of web content by means of these master classes. “VivaCell-MTS” is the general sponsor of the project.

Master classes will be delivered by:

- Sebastian Moleski, Chair, Wikimedia Germany - October 15.

- Anna Znamenskaya, Founder and Co-Owner of ivi.ru, former Chief Commercial Officer at Rambler Internet Holding - October 22.

- Anton Nossik, startup-manager, Chief Editor at BfM.Ru - October 29.

- Aiste Zilinskiene, Communication Director, Lithuaninan Delfi.lt portal – November 5.

- Ekaterina Skorobogatova, Facebook Representative in Russia – November 12.

“We have chosen representatives of Wikimedia and Facebook because these companies are global players and it’s very interesting to consider their relations with the creators of the local content. Anton Nosik has once created Lenta.ru portal and his experience will certainly be interesting for the participants of master classes,” said Ara Tadevosyan, Director of Mediamax.

The choice of representative of Delfi.lt is conditioned by the fact that from the point of view of scales the Lithuanian internet market can be compared to the Armenian one.

Ara Tadevosyan noted that Anna Znamenskaya will speak on the monetizing of the content, which is also very important.

“People often think that they need only a good content and interface in order to make their site successful. However, it’s also very important to solve the task of earning money via this content,” Director of Mediamax said.

Participation in master classes will be free of charge. Mediamax will send individual invitations for participation, but start-up companies may also send applications for participation at ywm_2011@mediamax.am.
