Yerevan/Mediamax/.Mediamax and the leading mobile operator of Armenia VivaCell-MTS presented the Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 project today aimed at presenting in Armenia the best foreign experience in creating and promoting web content.
The initiative to hold Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 belongs to Mediamax. VivaCell-MTS is the general sponsor of the project.
Famous specialists will visit Armenia within Yerevan Web Meetings 2011 and hold master classes for Armenian companies and individuals engaged in the sphere of internet-projects.
Master classes will be delivered by:
- Sebastian Moleski, Chair, Wikimedia Germany - October 15.
- Anna Znamenskaya, Founder and Co-Owner of ivi.ru, former Chief Commercial Officer at Rambler Internet Holding - October 22.
- Anton Nossik, startup-manager, Chief Editor at BfM.Ru - October 29.
- Aiste Zilinskiene, Communication Director, Lithuaninan Delfi.lt portal – November 5.
- Ekaterina Skorobogatova, Facebook Representative in Russia – November 12.
“Mediamax has realized a number of projects with the support of VivaCell-MTS in recent years, and we are proud of it. The peculiarity of the new project is that it refers to the sphere of education, to which VivaCell-MTS and Mediamax attach great attention. Having several web-projects, Mediamax is considered to be one of the leaders in Armenia. However, we realize that the future growth and achievements are possible only in case of the proportional development of the market. I think these master classes will become a good experience both for existing internet-projects and start-ups,” said Ara Tadevosyan, Director of Mediamax.
“VivaCell-MTS gives importance to this project, realizing that nowadays the Internet is a powerful tool in terms of obtaining information, facilitating the educational process, being in touch with the world, and presenting ourselves to the world. It is obvious that at present there is lack of Armenian content in the Internet, and it is necessary to fill in the gap. This initiative is a great means for ensuring the efficient and high-quality fulfillment of this process,” commented VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
Master classes will be held in the office of Mediamax. Live streaming on www.Itel.am will be also organized.
The organizers will send invitations to representatives of the internet sphere to participate in master classes. However, definite number of seats will be allotted also to start-up companies. Applications for participation should be sent to ywm_2011@mediamax.am.
