Finalists of the national stage of “Imagine Cup 2011” received prizes from “ArmenTel”

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Finalists of the national stage of “Imagine Cup 2011” technology competition visited “ArmenTel” and familiarized with the works of the operator.

“ArmenTel” is the general sponsor of the competition in Armenia.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of the company that the finalists of the competition met with the leadership of “ArmenTel”, heads of subdivisions, who told about the work of the connection operator. The teams received netbooks and souvenirs as presents.

“The partnership between the Armenian representative office of Microsoft and “ArmenTel” Company can be called strategic for a long time already. Our productive cooperation, including in the frames of this project, continues for already more than a year, and I want to note that this is a great example of how social policy of business contributes to development of the young generation”, Director of Microsoft Representative Office in Armenia Grigor Barseghyan noted.

Imagine Cup is the largest international annual technology competition in the world, organized by Microsoft, given support of other companies. The main topic of Imagine Cup is solution of most complex modern problems with the help of information technologies. Last year, over 325000 students from 100 countries participated in the competition.

The winner of the Armenian national stage of the competition in 2011 – X-Tech Company, which presented “Teach Me Now” program at the competition, gained the chance to visit New York for the global stage of Imagine Cup.
