Armenian government presents e-licensing system

YerevanMediamax/. Today, the government of Armenia presented an electronic licensing system at www.e-gov.am.

As the Head of Armenian government’s Staff David Sargsian said at the presentation today, the introduction of the electronic licensing system is one of the priorities of the executive power.

According to him, the new licensing system will allow ensuring transparency of the government’s activity for the society on the one hand, and provide electronic services to citizens and business circles on the other.

“It will minimize the documents turnover, reduce the communication of legal entities and individuals with officials,” David Sargsian stated.

He also said that they have already received first applications for electronic licenses in the sphere of urban construction. David Sargsian expressed the hope that the “electronic licensing will become not only a fashionable phenomenon but also a real tool for the improvement of business atmosphere.”

Licensing payments are currently executed in Armenian merchant banks. It will be possible in the coming month to make electronic payments on the site via bank cards.

The Head of government’s Staff said that the next step on the path of introduction of e-governance will be the “e-register” system, which will help the beginners register their business via electronic way during 10-15 minutes under the “one-window” principle.
