144 Armenian pupils win “Russian bear” competition

Yerevan/Mediamax/. 144 Armenian pupils became the prize winners of “Russian bear. Linguistics for everyone” competition.

As Executive Director of “Ayb” Educational Foundation David Sahakian said today, the competition is held for the first time in Armenia, and over 2000 pupils from 2d to 11th grades from 49 schools of Yerevan and Gyumri took part in it.

David Sahakian noted that the “Russian bear” contest is the so-called “younger brother” of “Kangaroo” mathematical contest, which is held in Armenia by “Ayb” Foundation.

David Sahakian pointed out that the contests of “Ayb” Foundation differ from other educational competitions by their entertaining character. “We are trying to cultivate wish for education in children, arouse interest in the educational process in them,” David Sahakian stated.

Head of the representation of “Rossotrudnichestvo” in Armenia, Viktor Krivopuskov, said that all contest participants will receive memorable prizes and the winners will get the books of Krilov, Tolstoy and Bulgakov. Besides, he said, they are negotiating on granting quotas to the winners for free education in Russian higher educational institutions.
