Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Teacher-Innovator” Forum was launched in Yerevan today. It is jointly held by the representative office of Microsoft and the Ministry of Science and Education of Armenia.
Mediamax reports that the Head of Microsoft representative office in Armenia Grigor Barseghyan stated that information technologies have become an inseparable part of life and the system of education cannot be an exception.
At that the Deputy Minister of Science and Education Manuk Mkrtchyan noted that besides positive factors of IT use in the sphere of education, there are also risks. “When applying information technologies, we should do everything possible in order not to leave the human factor out of the education process”.
Head of “Partnership in Education Sphere” program of Microsoft Company Christine Genjyan stated that 58 projects were presented within the framework of the Forum. Jury has selected 20 best ones among those.
The project, which has occupied the first place, will be presented at the analogous European Forum, which will take place in Moscow on March 22-26, 2011. The winners of the second and the third places will receive special prizes from “ArmenTel” Company.
