Funds, raised as a result of “Hayastan” Fund Telethon, to be carried out in November, will be directed at restoration of water supply in NKR

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Annual “Hayastan” Fund Telethon will take place in Los Angeles on November 25.

Mediamax reports that Executive Director of All-Armenian “Hayastan” Fund Ara Vardanyan informed on this at a news conference today.

According to him, tomorrow the active period of fundraising will begin. Subscribers of mobile connection operators will also have the chance to participate in it by sending their name and surname to direct number 8000, after which 500 AMD will be withdrawn from their account.

Ara Vardanyan informed that this year the means will be spent for restoration of water supply in Artsakh (Martuni, Hadrut, Askeran, Berdzor) and development of rural areas in Armenia.

Ara Vardanyan noted that “VivaCell-MTS” is the general sponsor of the telethon again. He stressed that for already the third year in a raw “VivaCell-MTS” has been the general sponsor of “Hayastan” Fund and in this period it has transferred USD 2.3mln for organizing fundraising.

This year the charitable dinner will again take place in Moscow. It will be attended by Presidents of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Last year, following the results of “Hayastan” Fund Telethon, the fundraising made USD 15mln 870 thousand.
