Yerevan/Mediamax/. About 50 000 subscribers use Beeline landline broadband internet connection services in Armenia.

“ArmenTel” press service informed Mediamax on this today, commenting on the report of the International Telecommunication Union on the situation and the tendencies in the market of telecommunications.

According to the report, internet availability in Armenia increased about 1.5 times in the course of a year.

“At the same time, Information and Communication Technologies did not undergo significant improvement, and the fact evidences the necessity to continue efforts on the country’s computerization and promotion of ICT use skills. Especially significant progress has been registered in increasing availability of landline broadband internet connection services. Taking into account the fact that about 50 000 Beeline subscribers use these services, one can state with confidence that “ArmenTel” company’s efforts over the past year gave their results”, the press service noted.
