Orange Armenia launched new Internet Now modems

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Today Orange Armenia launched new Internet Now modems which allow making downloads at a theoretical speed of up to 14.4Mbps.

After large upgrading works on the Orange network during last months in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor, it has been possible to reach the data transfer speed up to theoretically 14.4 Mbps. In ideal conditions, it’s now possible to download files at a speed of 7-9 Mbps with Internet Now 14.4. In average customers will experience 2-5 Mbps speed.

Bruno Duthoit, Orange Armenia CEO said that “with today’s offer we establish a new benchmark in the Armenian mobile internet market”.

The new 3G modems can be purchased with a one-year contract or without commitment. In case of subscribing a one-year contract the Internet Now 14.4 will cost 15,000 AMD, and without the commitment it can be purchased for 37,000 AMD.

Aram Mkrtchyan, Orange Armenia Marketing Director informed that those customers who have Internet Now 7.2 can give back their modem at any time and get the new modem, by paying the established 15,000 AMD and by prolonging the contract validity.”

With the launch of the new modem Orange reviewed the sale price of the modem Internet Now 7.2, which can now be purchased for 24,000 without subscription, instead of former 35,000.
