“Beeline” increased 3G network capacity in Yerevan

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Beeline” announces 3G network capacity increase by threefold in Yerevan.

At present, mobile Internet subscriber’s average speed of downlink traffic in “Beeline” network makes 3Mb per second, Mediamax was informed in the press service of “ArmenTel” today.

“By 3G network broadening in Yerevan, we have completed the first stage of 3G network threefold increase in Armenia, planned for 2010. The regions are next in turn, where operations on network broadening are in the middle and will be completed by the end of 2010. In addition due to the recent introduction of HSUPA technology, we have managed to increase outgoing traffic speed from the subscriber to the operator exactly 10 times”, said “ArmenTel” General Director.
 
By the end of 2010, the company plans to install over 100 base stations, considerably broadening 3G network coverage in the regions of Armenia.
