Yerevan/Mediamax/. Presentation of www.dasaran.am online diary took place in Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia today.
Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan said that the website is a private initiative and is called to contribute to educational process improvement and reduction of corruption risks in schools.
Armen Ashotyan said that the new website is actually the e-copy of school diary, which will allow facilitating the communication among teachers, pupils and their parents. In particular, the website will allow the parents watching their children’s progress in studies and supporting online relations with teachers and Headmaster.
“The website also allows Ministry watching statistics of progress in studies and analyzing the situation in education sphere”, said Minister.
He said that the introduction of online diary will carry a voluntary character: Ministry can only recommend the schools to use the facilities of the new website.
“Inter School Connect” company representative Pavel Hovhannisyan informed that the monthly payment for online diary makes 2 000AMD.
Each school is supposed to have a company’s representative, who will enter data to the website daily. Every user of the website will have his/her login and password.
Armen Ashotyan said that in 2012 the government will complete computerization and internetization process in all general educational schools of Armenia.
