Oracle to focus on solutions for banking and financial sectors in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Oracle Day” workshop took place in Yerevan today.

Director of Oracle Promotion Department for Eastern Europe and CIS Bob Hroch stated that the company produces over 3 thousand products, and in Armenia it will focus on technologic solutions for the banking and financial sectors.

As Oracle Sales Director for CIS Sergey Lanovenko stated, “Armenia has always been a technologic center and this is seen from the advanced projects in the sphere of IT”.

He stressed that Oracle already carries out works with the Central Bank in Armenia. A memorandum of understanding is already concluded with it. Sergey Lanovenko stressed that “we are also interested in cooperation with the telecommunication sector, which is going forward at a steady gait”.

According to Softline Company Director (Softline Company is Oracle’s partner in Armenia) Armen Karapetyan, Oracle’s solutions may contribute to increasing efficiency and security of the financial sector in Armenia. He noted that certain Armenian banks already use the products of Oracle.
