Yerevan /Mediamax/. iCON Communications internet provider announced reduction of tariffs today.
Mediamax reports that Chief Commercial Officer of iCON Communications Raffi Kassarjian informed on reduction of prices for tariff plans:
- iCON connect (256 down /64 up Kb/sec – from 15 to 12 thousand AMD per month);
- iCON media (512 down /128 up Kb/sec – from 24 to 22 thousand AMD per month);
- iCON optima (1024 down /256 up Kb/sec – from 45 to 33 thousand AMD per month).
New tariffs will come into effect on October 1.
Raffi Kassarjian also informed on the company’s two new services: the service of Virtual local area network (VLAN) and prepaid package for temporary internet use – iCON stream.
VLAN service is meant for organizations, possessing subdivisions in different parts of the city, which want to connect all their subdivisions or sales outlets in a single network.
iCON stream service allows gaining temporary access to iCON network: connection with the speed of 1024 down/256 up Kb/sec is available under the given package for 3000 AMD per day.
Summing up the results of first 6 months of the company’s activity in the Armenian market, Raffi Kassarjian informed that at present iCON’s total coverage territory makes 70 square kilometers. Coverage is provided with the use of 38 base stations. By the end of 2009 – beginning of 2010, the company intends to have secured coverage of the entire territory of Yerevan.
The company has about 3000 subscribers; the majority of them are individuals.
