Presidential Award for outstanding contribution to global IT development be presented to a “World Fame” in November in Yerevan

Yerevan /Mediamax/. First Annual Presidential Award to the laureate in “World Fame” nomination for outstanding contribution to IT development will be presented in Yerevan in November.

Mediamax reports that Armenian President’s Advisor Vahram Nersisyants and Chief Executive Officer of Synopsys-Armenia Rich Goldman informed on this at a news conference in Yerevan today.

According to the President’s Advisor, this nomination will improve Armenia’s international authority as a regional center of high technologies and will help emphasize the place and the role of the country on the world’s IT map.

Head of Synopsys-Armenia Company noted that the laureate is chosen by an international selection panel, consisting of respected professionals in the sphere of information technologies, basing on the Noble Peace Prize mechanism.

Rich Goldman informed that the selection panel preferred the nominee from the USA, “who enjoys world popularity and huge authority in the sphere of high technologies”.
