Yerevan /Mediamax/. In a short-term prospect Orange Armenia intends to become a leader in Armenia in the sphere of broadband internet services and the second in the sphere of mobile connection, Vice-President of France Telecom Group of Companies Olaf Swantee stated.
Mediamax reports that Olaf Swantee said this on September 17 at a press tour with Armenian journalists in Paris.
Answering the question of Mediamax on the source of internet services’ provision in Armenia, Olaf Swantee stated that initially Orange Armenia will purchase internet from Armenian wholesale providers, and later on will consider the opportunity of gaining primary access to international internet supply lines.
Vice-President of France Telecom stated Orange Armenia’s intention to make mobile internet available for wide layers of the Armenian population and become “the most loved” trademark in the telecommunication sphere of the country. “We believe that we will achieve this goal, since, first of all, we will have a wide network, secondly, close partnership with equipment producers, thirdly, a flexible price policy in various segments of the market, and in the fourth place, due to interesting content, mobile internet will become even more convenient”, Olaf Swantee stated. He also expressed confidence that Orange Armenia will stand out for its innovative solutions, professionalism of employees and high quality of services.
Chief of Individual Services of France Telecom Group Anne Bouverot in her turn stated that Orange Armenia intends to surprise Armenian consumers while launching its services. Answering the question of Mediamax, she stated that there is the chance to create various price offers and reach success without applying dumping policy in the Armenian market of mobile services. “Besides this, various marketing steps are considered for the launch of our services in Armenia, which are yet kept secret”, Anne Bouverot stated.
Olaf Swantee stressed that the global crisis will not have its effect on innovative programs by France Telecom in Armenia. Olaf Swantee noted that Orange’s experience evidences the ability to work successfully in countries with complex business climate. Good financial indices of the company for the first half of the year evidence the fact.
