PSRC established termination tariff of international incoming calls in mobile networks in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia established the tariff for termination of international incoming calls in mobile connection networks of “ArmenTel”, VivaCell-MTS and Orange Armenia companies.

As the Head of the Commission’s Telecommunication Department Gevorg Gevorgyan stated at the session of PSRC today, since October 1, 2009, and up to January 1, 2010, the tariff for termination of international incoming calls will make 40 AMD/minute (excluding VAT).

General Director of “ArmenTel” Company (Beeline brand) Igor Klimko stated in an interview to Mediamax that this is correct, balanced and consistent work by the Commission on regulating interrelations among operators, related to termination of international traffic.

According to him, all the recent decisions of PSRC concerning the tariff for interconnect are weighted and reasonable for all operators.

Answering the question on the terms of tariff reduction for the final subscriber, Igor Klimko stated that this will depend on marketing operations. “However, one should not directly link the subscriber tariffs with the price for interconnect, since this is an issue of economic efficiency, which is decided upon by the company. Nevertheless, there are perquisites for consistent reduction of tariffs”, “ArmenTel” General Director noted.

Igor Klimko also noted that in conditions of the global crisis, the company, which is able to efficiently manage its internal expenses, will manage to survive.
