- Hacks at the websites, placed on Arminco servers, have become more frequent recently. How do they manage this? 

- Different technologies are used in different cases. In general, this is implemented via password break, as well as by means of “spy” software. These are not viruses, they mainly spread via emails and are not revealed without use of correspondent “anti spy” software.

Hackers can also obtain access to database, using attackable spots, occurring in process of website software development, by the same means they enter mail server of the website. From time to time, vulnerable areas appear at the websites, and hackers manage to use before the “antidote” development.

Hackers can use peculiarities of the company’s software, rendering hosting service, human factor and etc.

- Arminco has changed passwords of the websites it hosts for protection recently, making them more complicated, however, it seems like it did not help. What steps are you going to take for websites protection?

- Let me disagree with you. Use of complicated passwords is quite efficient means, which gave its positive results. Nevertheless, it is one of the means, and comprehensive approach is necessary for full protection. In the first place specialists’ training and retraining.

Protection of website is a process, and not one-time step. It is necessary to use all means for illegal information leak prevention daily: antivirus and anti spy software, follow the rules of flash-memory use.

- How many resources are hosted on Arminco servers, and what percent do they make from the entire number of Armenian websites?

- About 1000 websites are hosted on Arminco servers. 11 thousand domain names are registered in Armenian domain zone .am, the significant part of which operate and have Armenian direction. A number of websites, possessing Armenian content, are also placed on domain spaces of other countries, but there are no exact data on their number.

Thus, one can say that 5% of websites, possessing Armenian content, are placed on Arminco servers.

- You have advised the owners of the websites to make passwords more complicated recently. How else can protection of Armenian websites be improved? And particularly, what does Arminco, rendering hosting services, in this direction?
